121K families still displaced

AT least 121,000 families (over 493,000 persons) affected by the effects of typhoon “Carina” and the southwest monsoon (“habagat”) in 11 regions in the country remained displaced yesterday, data from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) showed.

The displaced are among around 1.44 million affected families (5.19 million individuals) from 4,420 barangays from the National Capital Region (NCR), Cordillera administrative Region (CAR) and Regions I (Ilocos), II (Cagayan Valley), III (Central Luzon), IV-A (Calabarzon), IV-B (Mimaropa), V (Bicol), VI (Western Visayas), VII (Central Visayas), and X (Northern Mindanao).
